Job Description
The SEER Group LLC is currently seeking a Senior Staff Accountant for our brands. The position will report to the Regional Accounting Manager. As part of the regional accounting team, you will play a crucial role in aligning new partner companies with our financial best practices and overseeing the implementation and utilization of our financial information systems and processes. The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive understanding of Accounting functions, ranging from executing the month end close process to budgeting and from expense management to financial analysis.

You will collaborate closely with brands to ensure financial practices align with SEER standards, assist in managing financial plans and requests, and provide valuable insights into daily financial operations within your brand.
Leveraging our financial systems, you will ensure that the brand complies with financial regulations, SEER deadlines, and overall financial reporting. Acting as a strategic partner to the Corporate Controller, the regional accounting team will contribute to network-wide financial development, strategy, and administration. The overarching goal is to ensure the smooth and effective operation of the accounting department, delivering maximum value to the organization.
The SEER regional model provides an effective structure to support our evolution into a combined and optimized platform of locally operated brands. These SEER regional model is focused on enhancing SEER's ability to support the growth needs of our current and future SEER brands by locating our SEER regional support teams in-region.
Position: Senior Staff Accountant
Location: Eugene, OR
Shift: Monday - Friday, 8:00AM - 5:00PM
Compensation: $85,000 - $105,000 per year, Exempt
Benefits: 401K with up to a 4% employer match. Medical, dental, and vision - 100% paid for by the employer. Paid holidays, vacation, and sick leave.

What You'll Be Doing:
- Assist with all financial operational functions, utilizing QuickBooks and Service Titan ERP including invoicing, accounts receivable, and accounts payable.
- Assist in the preparation of timely internal financial statements for the brand.
- Oversee state and local regulatory reporting, specifically focusing on use/excise taxes and licensing requirements in the region.
- Support the brand budget process in alignment with corporate financial objectives.
- Manage and monitor all brand accounts, ledgers, and reporting systems to ensure compliance with appropriate GAAP standards and regulatory requirements.
- Complete the monthly close process at the brand level; maintain and ensure accuracy of period end workbooks including reconciliations and detail schedules
- Proactively monitor, investigate, and resolve discrepancies and reconciling items
- Enforce internal controls specific to the brand to maximize the protection of company assets, adherence to policies, procedures, and streamline workflow processes.
- Assist brand in the implementation of SEER financial processes and systems.
- Demonstrate honesty and integrity in all financial actions and decisions within the brand.
- Support financial statement, 401(k), insurance, and other audits under the supervision of the Regional Accounting Manager
- Perform special accounting analysis and projects, as requested.
- Ensure accuracy and timeliness of all deliverables for the role
- Undertake additional accounting responsibilities, as necessary
Job Requirements
Senior Staff Accountant Required Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting required
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to efficiently organize and prioritize diverse tasks and responsibilities
- Solid understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions
- Ability to work independently and take initiative
- Ability to quickly understand systems
- Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills
- 2-4 years’ experience in accounting roles, Public Accounting, and/or CPA a plus
- QuickBooks Desktop experience, a plus
