Procurement Category Manager (Dallas-Fort Worth Metropolitan Area)

You will be responsible for developing a strong partnership with our brands and their teams to proactively plan the management of their existing supply base, including developing and executing strategies to support our corporate and organizational goals. In addition, you will collaborate with our brand stakeholders to plan for sourcing new areas of spend. By leveraging your capabilities in strategic sourcing strategy planning and execution, you will ensure that SEER is maximizing the value by driving to the lowest total cost of ownership, increasing the quality-of-service delivery, and minimizing supply chain risks. You will also support the growth of the business, manage global supplier relationships to ensure strategic alignment and sustainability, oversee suppliers to continuously improve quality, delivery, and price to support operations.
Job Title: Category Manager - Procurement
Location: Remote (Must live in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metropolitan Area or one of the following states CA, CO, ID, OR, UT, or WA)
Pay: $110,000 - $125,000, plus bonuses
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Position Type: Full-time, Remote work opportunity

Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement global sourcing strategy for spend channels (categories as assigned) and supply chain performance, aligning with production, new product development, and research activities.
- Collaborate with the sourcing team to create and maintain sub-commodity strategies based on technology and market conditions.
- Partner with brands to resolve challenges, provide expertise in strategic sourcing and category management.
- Support new product development projects in component selection, procurement, and end-of-life management.
- Provide strategic guidance based on data analysis and business needs.
- Establish benchmarks and balanced scorecards for operational performance and continuous improvement.
- Manage strategic supplier partnerships to ensure performance expectations are met.
- Develop long-term commodity strategies to lower total cost of ownership and improve customer service.
Job Requirements
Category Manager - Procurement Required Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in business or engineering required.
- 5+ years of sourcing experience with understanding of procurement concepts, principles and commodity management, and strategic sourcing experience.
- Direct experience developing and executing spend channel strategy and category leadership roles.
- Have a deep understanding of category management.
- Demonstrated strategic decision-making skills regarding business planning process.
- Demonstrated strong collaboration and communication skills.
- Partner with brands to identify, create, and plan capabilities necessary to meeting short-term and long-term goals.
- Ability to manage multiple and competing priorities across multiple time zones.
- Extended knowledge of MS Office Suite, Excel, Word, Dropbox
