Location: Puyallup, WA
Pay: $24 -$27/hr (DOE)
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 11:00 am - 2:00 pm, one 8-hour day once a month

Part-Time Accountant and Customer Service Representative Position Summary:
The Part-Time Accountant and Customer Service Representative is responsible for managing and balancing accounts, recording daily financial transactions, and adhering to accounting principles. They also review financial data, prepare reports and financial statements, and provide backup support for the Customer Service Representative during lunch breaks and when answering phone calls. This role requires the employee to work 100% in the office for 10-15 hours a week, with a full eight-hour day during the month-end accounting period. Depending on business needs, this position may evolve into a full-time role.

Accounting duties include:

• Follow the company’s established accounting processes.
• Process customer invoices timely and accurately through ServiceTitan, exporting to QuickBooks, and recording payments on customer accounts.
• Process AP Invoices and payments to vendors, including reviewing and matching to Purchase Orders and resolving account discrepancies
• Process monthly sales tax returns and quarterly excise tax returns
• Research & resolve customer billing inquiries and discrepancies
• Review AR regularly to ensure that payments are collected timely.
• Reconcile bank and credit card accounts monthly.
• Support month-end closing, including review of accounts and posting necessary journal entries
• Provide supporting reports and documents for management and audits, as requested.
• Assist the corporate accounting department with annual audits.
  
  

Customer Service Representative duties include:

• Warmly and professionally answer the phones
• Listen to and assist customers with their needs
• Schedule appointments for salespeople and technicians
• Inform customers of payment options as needed
• Maintain customer accounts and records
• Greet vendors and customers as needed
• Manage and organize incoming sales leads
  
  Other general office duties may be assigned.

Part-Time Accountant and Customer Service Representative Required knowledge, skills, and experience:

• Minimum 3-5 years of experience as a bookkeeper using QuickBooks, preferably with a company in the services or trades
• 1-3 years of experience as CSR, with multiple incoming phone lines
• Accounting degree preferred; High school diploma required plus applicable experience instead of a degree
• Prior HVAC experience and knowledge preferred
• Previous use of ServiceTitan is a plus
• High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
• Computer savvy, an intermediate user of MS Office suite or related tools
• Professional phone presence
