Nolan Heating & Air, a Certified Carrier Comfort Specialist Dealer is immediately hiring an experienced HVAC Install Apprentice

Position: HVAC Install Apprentice
Location: Colfax, WA
Shift: Monday - Friday, 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM
Compensation: $20 /hr
Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K with Employer Match, PTO
Job Type: Full-time

HVAC Install Helper Position Summary:

The Install Helper will assist in installing HVAC equipment into residential customers' homes. This includes furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, air handlers, and other related components.

 

What You'll Be Doing

  • Assist in the installation of HVAC equipment into residential customer homes
  • Assist in equipment troubleshooting, installation, start-up, operation, and other
  • Assist in the installation of flex and sheet metal duct systems in residential buildings
  • Ensure the functionality of thermostats to control the HVAC& system is operational.
  • Load all necessary materials and equipment required for each job into the company vehicle
  • Follow all safety and training per company policy and procedure
  • Ensure that the company vehicle is maintained and in operating order
  • Participate and attend all required employee meetings and training
  • Other duties as assigned

 

Job Requirements

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:

  • 6 months of prior HVAC installation experience desired.
  • Eager to learn the HVAC trade - enroll in HVAC courses and/or in-house training programs
  • Must be able to demonstrate mechanical aptitude
  • Ability to operate power and hand tools safely
  • Must be able to lift 100lbs
  • Comfortable working from ladders that are 28' and possibly higher
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Comfortable working outdoors in the elements
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Must have a valid driver license and insurable driving record
