Job Description
Brennan Heating & Air Conditioning is looking for an experienced HVAC Electrician to join our growing team!
Position: HVAC Electrician
Location: Lakewood, WA
Shift: Monday - Friday 7:30 AM - 5:00 PM
Compensation: $35 - $45 /hr

HVAC Electrician Position Summary:
The HVAC Electrician is responsible for installing and maintaining the electrical wiring, fixtures, and systems in buildings while supporting our HVAC needs. The Electrician will also understand the safety procedures involved with installation and is comfortable using hand tools.
Essential Job Functions
- Install and repair electrical wiring, systems and fixtures in buildings
- Install conduits and pipes to house electrical wires and cables
- Ensure piping complies with electrical codes
- Install circuit breakers (and other electrical hardware) and connects wiring to them
- Connect electrical systems to power-lines to provide electricity to the building
- Diagnose issues, perform maintenance and repairs, and recommend best solutions for customers
- Install electrical hardware such as junction boxes and circuit breaker units
- Test and inspect electrical systems to determine whether repairs are needed
- Replace conduit and wiring as needed
- Supervise and train others in the installation and repair of electrical components

Job Requirements
Electrician Required Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:
- 3 years of previous electrical experience and the completion of a formal apprenticeship.
- Knowledge of HVAC industry and corresponding equipment
- Strong time management skills and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Must be able to maintain a high level of professionalism and customer service standards in stressful situations.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
- Must be a self-starter with excellent problem-solving, analytical skills, and mechanical aptitude.
- Ability to read blueprints, extensive knowledge of electrical systems and wiring, the ability to use hand tools and power tools, proficiency in the use of test meters and diagnostic equipment.
- Frequently works in outside weather conditions.
- May be required to perform work from ladders and heights.
- Requires a high school diploma and/or any equivalent of education and experience to meet the essential functions of the job.
- Must have a valid driver's license and remain insurable under our company insurance policy.
- Must be able to pass a background and drug screening
- Must comply with all safety standards and regulations of the National Electrical Code.
Physical Demands
- Moderate to heavy working conditions.
- Ability to see color (discern color coded wiring)
- Must be comfortable with and physically able to safely help lift heavy equipment, climb ladders, stand for long periods of time, bend, crawl and kneel
- Must be able to lift 50+ pounds at a time
- Must be comfortable climbing 28+ foot extension ladders
- Must be comfortable working in small, dark, confined spaces (attics and crawl
Travel
Willing to travel within the following counties: King, Snohomish, Pierce, Thurston, Kitsap, Mason, Jefferson, Island. Occasionally, travel may occur within other counties not listed.
