Comfort Consultant
Job Description
Puyallup Heating and Air Conditioning is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Comfort Consultant to join our sales team. In this role, you will be responsible for driving sales through building strong relationships with prospective customers in residential, new construction, and light commercial sectors. Utilizing a consultative approach, you will engage with clients to understand their unique needs, provide tailored HVAC solutions, and ensure exceptional customer satisfaction throughout the sales process.
Job Title: Comfort Consultant
Location: Puyallup, WA
Schedule: Monday - Friday
Compensation: Commission-based (10% of all sales) with average earnings between $75,000 - $150,000 annually

Position Summary:
In this role, you will be responsible for driving sales through building strong relationships with prospective customers in residential, new construction, and light commercial sectors. Utilizing a consultative approach, you will engage with clients to understand their unique needs, provide tailored HVAC solutions, and ensure exceptional customer satisfaction throughout the sales process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build and nurture relationships with prospective customers in our service area.
- Respond promptly to inquiries with accurate pricing, inventory, and installation information.
- Conduct cold calls to generate new leads.
- Analyze sales reports to identify opportunities based on customer buying patterns.
- Schedule appointments and follow up with customers to address service concerns.
- Manage collections and ensure timely payment of past due accounts.
- Complete all sales-related paperwork accurately and efficiently.
- Collaborate with team members and perform additional tasks as needed.
Job Requirements
Desired Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of residential HVAC sales experience preferred; candidates with consultative sales experience from other industries are encouraged to apply.
- Strong relationship-building skills with a natural ability to connect with customers.
- Familiarity with the Puyallup and Pierce County area is a plus.
- Knowledge of Carrier HVAC products and experience with ServiceTitan for creating estimates is desirable.
- Proven track record in developing and executing sales strategies.
- Excellent presentation, negotiation, and closing skills.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and exceed sales goals.
- Must pass background checks and pre-employment screening; zero tolerance for drug or alcohol abuse.
