Position: Accounting Manager / HR Generalist
Location: El Cerrito, CA (Hybird Onsite & Remote)
Shift: Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Compensation: $90,000 - $105,000 annually + up to $3,500 hiring bonus (DOE)

Accounting Manager/HR Generalist in a Nutshell
In this role, you will be responsible for both the accounting function and the primary HR duties for the business unit. As the Accounting Manager, you will manage all financial accounting, reporting, and compliance. You will analyze data and trends to help make financial decisions to help the company grow. As the Accounting Manager/HR Generalist, you will promote HR best practices alongside compliance with state and federal laws. You will assist in hiring, onboarding, performance, leave administration, and human resources information system software (Paycom).

Job Requirements
Accounting Manager/HR Generalist Required Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
- 5+ years of previous accounting / finance / HR experience
- Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting or related field
- Professional accounting certification - preferred (CMA, CGA or CA)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office products, especially Excel
- Proven experience in the HR field
- Understanding of general human resources policies and procedures
- Good knowledge of CA employment/labor laws
- Outstanding knowledge of MS Office; HRIS systems (Paycom, UltiPro, Paylocity) will be a plus
- Excellent communication and people skills
- Aptitude in problem-solving
- Additional HR training a plus
- Basic CA labor law knowledge a plus
- Trade or Construction industry knowledge a plus
What You’ll Be Doing
- Planning, directing and coordination all accounting operational functions
- Coordinating and preparing internal and external financial statements
- Participate in the budget process
- Monitor company’s financial reports and determine ways to reduce costs
- Manage and monitor all accounts, ledgers and reporting systems
- Develop and enforce internal controls to maximize protection of company assets, policies, procedures and workflow
- Oversee payroll reporting, accounts payable and receivable and all other reimbursement processes
- Review and maintain accuracy of Paycom
- Assist with benefit implementation, open enrollment, and administration
- Review and approve HR related invoices and send to accounting for payment
- Oversee compliance and accuracy of HR
- Assist in administering leave: FMLA and CA PFL
- Create and provide HR related forms and other items
- Promote HR programs to create an efficient and conflict free workplace
- Ensure compliance with labor regulations, federal, state and local employment laws
- Maintain confidentiality at all times
- Other HR related duties as assigned
