Position: Aeroseal Service Technician
Job Type: Full-Time; Monday - Friday
Pay Range: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour
Specialty Heating and Cooling is looking for an Aeroseal Service Technician to add to the team. This entry-level position offers an exciting opportunity for candidates with a strong work ethic and a desire to learn and grow within the HVAC industry. While some prior experience is preferred, we welcome candidates who are eager to gain hands-on experience in duct cleaning and sealing techniques, especially with a focus on Areoseal technology.
Responsibilities
• Perform thorough duct system inspections to identify areas in need of cleaning or sealing.
• Conduct duct cleaning and sealing activities according to industry standards and company protocols.
• Utilize Areoseal technology to efficiently and effectively seal ductwork.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure a smooth workflow and timely completion of projects.
• Operate and maintain equipment, including vacuum systems, air compressors, and Areoseal machines.
• Provide excellent customer service by addressing client questions and concerns professionally and efficiently.
• Document and report all completed work, noting any issues or recommendations for further action.
• Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a secure working environment for yourself and your team.
• Stay informed about advancements in duct cleaning and sealing technologies and participate in ongoing training opportunities.
• Assist with other HVAC-related tasks as needed.
Job Requirements
Experience and Certifications
• Valid driver’s license required
• Previous knowledge of HVAC, duct cleaning, or related fields preferred
• EPA Certification preferred
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
• Ability to use power tools, hand tools, and equipment safely and efficiently
• Ability to lift 100lbs or more
• Must have strong time management skills and the ability to work with minimal supervision
• Must be able to maintain a high level of professionalism and customer service standards
• The ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and written
• Ability to work in a variety of weather conditions (rain, snow, ice, sun)
• Able to navigate stairs and other uneven surfaces, sometimes while carrying heavy items
• Ability to work on a ladder, roof, in attics and crawl spaces
