Black Lion Heating and Air Conditioning in Kirkland is hiring a Permit Coordinator. Black Lion is a company specializing in building relationships while providing expert HVAC solutions.

Position: Permit Coordinator
Location: Kirkland, WA
Shift: Monday - Friday
Compensation: $25 - $30 /hr (DOE)

Permit Coordinator Position Summary:
The Permit Coordinator will pull all electrical, mechanical and plumbing permits for all jobs. Willing to travel within the following counties King, Snohomish, Pierce, Thurston, Kitsap, Mason, Jefferson, Island (travel may occur within other counties).

• Apply for all mechanical, electrical, gas and plumbing permits for jobs.
• Make sure permits are in job packs for installers.
• Make sure the permit fee list is up to date for Sales Reps and Service Techs.
• Scanning of permits for electronic archive.
• Mailing permits to customers as needed.
• Work closely with Sales Manager, Sales Reps, Service Techs and Installers to ensure that correct permits are issued for the jobs.
• Responds to customer inquiries regarding status and approval process of permits
• Schedule inspections for customers as needed depending on location.
• Schedule mechanical corrections with the home owner.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Permit Coordinator Required Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:

• This position requires strong time management skills and the ability to work independently or in a team.
• Must have the ability to maintain a high level of professionalism and customer service standards in stressful situations.
• This position requires excellent communication skills both verbally and written.
• Must be hard working, self-starter with a positive attitude and respectful.
• Requires a valid driver’s license.
• Requires a high school diploma and/or equivalent.
• Minimum of 6 months previous HVAC and electrical experience.
• Must be able to lift 15+ pounds at a time.
